While Paul Whiteman recorded for Victor, Columbia had another very popular orchestra in its stable to compete: Paul Specht, who had set up a school for jazz musicians in England before returning to the US for good in 1926 (see
this entry in Wikipedia for more about him). This spritely instrumental, waxed for Columbia on June 19 of 1925, was issued in the first month that the
label was using their new electric recording equipment. The song was written by Milton Ager and Benny Davis (who also collaborated on "I'm Nobody's Baby," "Dancing and Dreaming," and "My Tzatzkele"). The record had been played
a lot, but after a few passes with declicking software the results are very listenable.
