Recorded for Brunswick in November of 1922, this tune was the last of a long string of hits for ragtime composer Percy Weinrich (who gave us such classics as "Moonlight Bay" and "When You Wore a Tulip and I Wore a Big Red Rose").
Dan Russo and Ted Fiorito were co-leaders of this band, and they made records for Brunswick throughout the early 20s using some unorthodox but entertaining arrangements. The record itself was not in the best of shape, but a bit of
sonic work with noise reduction brought the music out from behind the static.
