"KC Railroad"

by George Walburn and Emmett Hethcox

This simple country tune, recorded by Okeh in Atlanta Georgia in June of 1925, is performed by the guys who also wrote the classic "Kansas City Railroad Blues" (recorded by Bill Monroe in the mid-50's, and dozens of others since) - despite the similarity in the titles, one tune is very different from the other. Walburn and Hethcox didn't record many sides, and it's rare to find one in any condition. This traditional country music will definitely get your toe to tapping. The record was played quite a lot, and kicked around some, but it is much more listenable after noise surgery.
