Abner Silver (co-wrote "Barbara", "Say It While Dancing") and Harry Woods (co-wrote "When the Red-Red-Robin Comes Bob-Bob-Bobbin' Along", "Side By Side", and "River Stay Away From My Door") wrote this tune in late 1923, and when Edison recorded the
Jazz-O-Harmonists on the 31st of January in the following year they incuded a version of it. It was popular enough to merit a cylinder issue as well. This is the Diamond Disc version, take "A", and though it is a bit more commercial than "Salt Your
Sugar" (also posted in this archive) it has that pleasant etherial quality that distinguishes this jazz band from most others. The disc itself is in nice condition, needing only minor noise removal.
