An energetic performer if there ever was one, Blossom gives Al Jolson a run for his money with her vibrant delivery on this 1923 Columbia disc. The song, with lyrics by Sidney Claire & Sam Landress and music by Cliff Friend (he was the author
of "You Tell Her - I Stutter") is as corny as songs get, but Blossom "sells" it like it was a classic. Her star faded with Vaudeville, but thankfully her bouyant performances are preserved for posterity. This
particular record got played a bit, but noise reduction was able to tame the worst of it.
